Zermatt Unplugged really is the VIP mountain music festival of the year.

Located in Switzerland’s most spectacular and luxurious ski resorts – Zermatt – this festival is an investment; but one you will remember your entire life! Afterall, who wouldn’t want to listen to beautiful unplugged concerts whilst taking in the humbling view of the Matterhorn in the background (you know, the Toblerone-chocolate mountain;)

This week the peaceful Swiss-Alp town of Zermatt will be taken over by the festival. With 12 different stages located in the town itself and a couple on the mountain slopes, get ready to experience the beginning of Spring unlike ever before.

Depending on the venue tickets for Zermatt Unplugged range from 45 CHF – 150 CHF. If you have missed your chance to book your ticket for James Morrison (or any other sold-out concert), you will want to get your hands on the Premium Package (aprox. 750 CHF). It will smuggle you into that concert:)

For those of us, whose financials are slightly more limited, there is a great selection of free concerts sprinkled around the town of Zermatt. Just make sure you decide in advance which artists you want to check out, as the distances between the venues are large.

This years lineup is truly delicious, with performances from Juanes, Simple Minds, Chris Cornell, Tom Baxter, Xavier Rudd (YAY!!) and Angus and Julia Stone.

This might not be a weekend where you would pack your skiing gear to hit the pists. It is rather a musical weekend where you hang out at the various stages, enjoy the weather, take in the scenery, try some mouthwatering Swiss food and enjoy the beauty of all that amazing unplugged music.

Don’t you just wish life was a never-ending festival?
